What's New and What is Not New at All

The release of a report today from the President's Cancer Panel about the need for stronger and more rigorous regulation of chemicals (Nicholas Kristof article on the Op-Ed page of today's New York Times) is very new, coming as it does from what Kristof describes as a mainstream Panel.

What is not new is what many in the scientific and advocacy communities have known for a long time about the connections between exposures to chemicals and the risk of cancer (and other diseases as well). We at SHARE will be reading this report and looking at the issues it raises. Join us with your thoughts, experiences and comments.
