Fall is always an exciting time at SHARE, and this year is no different!
On September 21, we will hold our annual fundraiser, "A Second Helping of Life," which is a very special event that raises much-needed funding for SHARE. It's all about food, wine, and spectacular river views. Twenty-five chefs and 25 celebrities all donate their time, energy, and expertise -- not to mention all the delicious food -- to make the event a success! We're so thankful for their generosity and support.
On September 30, we'll mark Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month with a reunion in our office for ovarian cancer support group members -- past and present. This is a chance for people to reconnect and for newer support group members to get to know some of the people who've been helped by SHARE support groups in the past.
On September 29, SHARE's Living with Uncertainty: Metastatic Breast Cancer Evening Support group will hold its second meeting. The group is facilitated by women living with metastatic disease, and participants can join at any time. For people who aren't in NYC, SHARE also has a toll-free telephone support group for women with metastatic disease.
We're also excited that our new web site is finally up and running. Please take a look around, and let me know what you think.
