SHARE Visits Good Morning America

Last Wednesday, a group of stalwart SHARE participants got up extra early to come into Times Square and stand in the audience at Good Morning America (we had been invited by the producers a few weeks ago).

We all held SHARE signs and some of us brought posters, hoping to get on camera so that GMA's TV audience could see the faces of survivors and those affected by breast or ovarian cancer representing SHARE. Unfortunately, it seems we didn't get any coverage.

Because of a last-minute change in plans on the part of GMA, our group was outside the studio when the hosts -- and cameras -- were inside, and we missed out! But the TV audience missed out as well on seeing our beautiful group:

But we learned some lessons from this very interesting experience -- next time we'll wear T-shirts that identify our group!

Our friends at Wellness Community, who were also invited that day to be in the audience, showed up in red T-shirts, looking like a softball team, and they looked great and got lots of attention.

We did, however, get the chance to see Diane Sawyer and Sam Champion, as well as Cindy Crawford, who was one of the guests on the show. And we posed for photos with Robin Roberts, herself a breast cancer survivor, and Chris Cuomo. That was a lot of fun!

Before I left for the hospital, I turned on the tv to see all of you. Yes, I saw the ladies in their red t-shirts!! I kept looking for you guys untill I hade to leave around 8:40. I just assumed I'd missed you. I'm a little upset about what happened. But I say "HATS OFF TO ALL OF YOU " for being there.
