Breast Cancer Research Program at Risk
The very important, innovative, consumer-friendly Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program is at risk because nine Congressmen have not signed the letter supporting funding for Fiscal Year 2011. Please call your representative's office if he or she is listed below. Ask for the Health LA (legislative assistant). Please say the following message:
"I am a constituent. I urge you to show your support for ending breast cancer by signing the letter to the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee calling for $150 million — level funding — in appropriations, for the DOD peer-reviewed Breast Cancer Research Program for FY 2011. Chris Beigelow in Rep. Nita Lowey's office is the contact person to sign the letter."
