Coping with the Holidays
The holidays are always a joyful and stressful time of year. Being metastatic and dealing with family and friends complicates things.
Many of us will be traveling for the holidays to visit family and friends who we haven't seen in years or only see for the holidays. How do we deal with questions and comments about our diagnosis in a positive manner? How do we clear the air or make amends with family or friends with whom we have had issues in the past? How do we deal with the exhaustion of the holidays without getting emotionally and physically drained?
And finally, how do we make the best of the holidays and "enjoy" ourselves? We'd like to hear your thoughts.
