Join me at T.E.A.L. Walk
On September 11, I'm participating in the second annual T.E.A.L. walk in Prospect Park (the title is Tell Every Amazing Lady About Ovarian Cancer). It was started by a young ovarian cancer survivor and her sister, and it's the only ovarian-specific walk in New York City. Proceeds go to ovarian cancer research.
The event involves a lovely morning walk through Prospect Park, and afterwards you can join us for brunch at a nearby French bistro. I participated last year, with some family members and friends, and we had a great time.
SHARE and other cancer related organizations like ACS will have information tables. We need volunteers to staff the SHARE table, so if you don't want to walk you can still be involved. Contact me at debbiep@nyct.net if you'd like to volunteer.
Come join us! You can register online (registration is $20 before September 1; onsite registration costs $30). This is a great way to mark Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Hope to see you!
