Chrystine
Chrystine is a stage 3C ovarian cancer survivor who feels extremely fortunate to be eleven years out, without a recurrence, from her diagnosis in 1998. She feels it is incumbent upon her to do whatever she can to raise awareness about ovarian cancer. When she heard about SHARE's Hot-line training being offered in Buffalo three years ago, she jumped at the opportunity and has found it to be a very rewarding experience.
As the Buffalo Regional Coordinator for SHARE, Chrystine looks forward to the many opportunities available to raise awareness in her area and is very excited about working with SHARE.
Chrystine also serves as the Buffalo area Regional Coordinator and Facilitator for OCNA's Survivors Teaching Students Program to raise awareness of signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer for medical students, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Professionally Chrystine was a high school teacher for 25 years and currently substitute teaches, tutors, and does home instruction. She is married to a great guy, Richard and has a wonderful son, Jason, who married a terrific woman, Joyelle. She has been blessed with 2 amazing grandchildren. Roman is almost 4 years old and Ava, 11 months.
