Reproductive Endocrinologist Glenn Schattman, MD, FACOG will discuss how a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment can affect fertility; how physicians assess fertility status; what assisted reproductive technology options are available after cancer treatment; and fertility preservation prior to treatment. Dr. Schattman is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
Allison Rosen, PhD will discuss the different types of adoption processes such as domestic, international, open or closed and how each varies for individuals affected by cancer. Dr. Rosen is a psychologist at the Fertility Preservation Institute, where she does research and counseling. Her research includes adoption discrimination and the psychosocial needs of people with cancer.
