Read on for highlights from the 2011 event . . .

Or see photos!

Our 2011 event was fantastic -- thanks to everyone for your support!

SHARE's 8th Annual A Second Helping of Life was, as always, a spectacular evening! This year was even more meaningful because SHARE is celebrating 35 years of serving those affected by breast or ovarian cancer.

We're happy to report that we had a tremendous show of support for our ovarian cancer hotline in our live auction, exceeding last year's dollar amount by almost 50 percent! In addition, as of our current tally, we raised $325,000 in general support for SHARE. We are so appreciative of this support during such difficult times.

Some Highlights

Ladies Night at Chelsea Piers

With over 50 chefs and celebrities in attendance, woman power at Chelsea Piers was intense on 9/19. And it's like this every year -- the only difference being that every year it gets more special -- when women at the top of their field gather to support a great cause.

A Very Special Auction Item

And no, it wasn't the bottle of Zyr Vodka that went for $65, although that was wonderful, too! It was the $33,450 that our wonderful guests pledged to support our Ovarian Cancer Hotline! THANK YOU!

Excellent Food

Whether it was Rebecca Charles's lobster rolls, Jennifer Appel's cupcakes, or any of the other almost 30 delicious sweet and savory dishes, the food was spectacular!

1/2 ounce lychee juice
Shake all ingredients and fine strain over fresh ice in a collins glass
