Volunteer Opportunities

At SHARE, we're interested in finding volunteer opportunities that best fulfill your interests and use your unique skills. 

Following are some volunteer opportunities, but please feel free to suggest other ways you would like to participate.

Outreach

We need volunteers to help raise awareness about ovarian cancer by speaking in hospitals and community based organizations around the city. We will train volunteers to speak about ovarian cancer. You don't need to be a survivor to participate.  Learn more

Office

We have a need for volunteers with daytime availability, good telephone manner, and computer skills to help out with projects and perform general office tasks.  These tasks include maintaining databases, making phone calls, and sending mail. 

Hotline

We have openings on our breast and ovarian cancer hotlines. Volunteers can work from the SHARE office or from home in the daytime, evening, and on the weekend. Training is required. Please contact Barbara Krauser.

Special Events

We need volunteers to assist with fundraisers, programs, and presentations. Involvement ranges from event preparation to just showing up to meet and greet or distribute SHARE materials.

Professionals of all types are also needed!

Particular need for writing/editing, public relations, and finance.
