When and how did you get involved with SHARE?
I first got involved with SHARE when I was in the play WIT. My neighbor Jane Soyer told me about the organization, and we talked about somehow doing a WIT-related fundraiser for SHARE.
In what ways have you been involved with SHARE?
We did a couple of WIT-related fundraisers, and then I was asked to be a sous chef for the very first incarnation of A Second Helping of Life, SHARE's tasting benefit. I have been coming ever since, and it is without a doubt the best event in New York City!
How has SHARE helped you?
SHARE has helped me by letting me know that my friends who are touched by women's cancers have a place to go and a community of support that stretches all over the country.
What is your 40th anniversary wish for SHARE?
My 40th anniversary wish for SHARE is that there be one final fabulous Second Helping of Life and then no need for more! But failing that, I wish that this wonderful community goes on and spreads its message of love and care far and wide.
