SHARE and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene teamed up for a free community event about breast and ovarian cancer on October 20 at the Langston Hughes Library in Corona, Queens. The event featured a variety of activities including a panel of breast and ovarian cancer survivors; a certified instructor from Moving for Life who got the crowd moving; and a demonstration of a breast self-exam from Ann Stephens.
