Let’s Talk About It: Triple Negative Breast Cancer
Women with Triple Negative Breast Cancer can join Nancy Touhill and peers via video or phone to talk about the topics such as "Managing Anxiety with Meditation" (July 20), "Addressing Body Image: Silencing our Inner Critic" (August 17), and "Ask me Anything: Long Term-Side Effects" (September 21)".
July 20: Managing Anxiety with Meditation
A cancer diagnosis can invoke an array of emotions, including anxiety. Please join Victoria Rego, TNBC Survivor and Reiki master, as she guides us through the power of meditation as a tool to cope with a diagnosis and manage the anxiety associated with that diagnosis. She will help us regain our focus, and ultimately provide us with techniques to help ground our energy and clear our minds. August 17: Addressing Body Image: Silencing our Inner Critic
Cancer treatment can often change the way a survivor addresses body image. The feelings of loss and disconnect are normal to have, but can be complicated to navigate because more often than not we are our harshest critic. Take part in this conversation as we openly discuss body image and mechanisms to silence our inner critic.
September 21: Ask me Anything: Long-Term Side Effects of Cancer Treatment
Do you have questions regarding the long-term side effects of cancer treatment? Come have all of your questions answered by Dr. Daniela Stan, Director of Breast Clinic Survivorship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and Dr. Amelia Zelnak, Breast Oncologist at Atlanta Cancer Care in Atlanta, GA, as they delve into the realities of long-term side effects and address living a healthy lifestyle, enhancing quality of life, and reducing symptoms for cancer survivors.
