Let's Talk About It: Black Women with Breast Cancer (Intimacy Interrupted: The Black Survivor's Struggle with Desire After Cancer)
Taboo Discussions in the Black Breast Cancer Community
Although it can be a challenging subject, advance care planning is crucial for anyone dealing with a cancer diagnosis, whether they are single, married, have children, or have no children. It's important to have a plan, regardless of whether you have property or valuable assets. Prince, Aretha Franklin, and Chadwick Boseman passed away without having a will, emphasizing the importance of this issue. Our community must make decisions about our future medical care with the input of family and friends.
If you're a Black woman breast cancer survivor, join us on Thursday, December 19th 7:30pm EST. The facilitators are Lisa P. Nelson, LMSW, OSW-C, and Megan-Claire Chase, invasive lobular (ILC) breast cancer survivor and SHARE's Breast Cancer Program Director. You'll get the opportunity to share your stories and experiences with fellow survivors and learn new ways to cope with the challenges of breast cancer.
This space is tailor-made for Black women breast cancer survivors who want to connect with others and gain insights from their journeys towards healing. Don't miss out on this chance to join a supportive community of survivors.
