December 14: Self-Care through Artistic Expression

Artist and educator Nicole Franz (hyperlink to: https://www.nicolefranz.com/bio.html) will guide you through the process of making a mixed-media collage portrait using recycled materials, found objects, paints, pens or whatever you have on hand. This workshop will enable you to express yourself through art while allowing time for reflection, self-care, relaxation and introspection. Nicole holds a Masters Degree in Art Education and has worked in the fashion and music industries. She works from her Long Island studio. Her work has been exhibited in galleries from Brooklyn to the Hamptons. A materials list will be provided. Artistic ability is not required.

January 18: TNBC Check-In

The holiday season has come to an end and it is the start of a new year. This time of year can always stir up an array of emotions, and we want to check in with you. Are you seeking strategies for communicating with others? A better understanding of when to talk with a mental health professional? Share with us any questions you have along your personal survivorship path. Let's talk about it with people who get it.

February 15: Complementary and Integrative Medicine (CAM) for TNBC with Dr. Ting Bao

When it comes to complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) a lot of questions are likely to arise, especially for those diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Ting Bao, a breast medical oncologist specializing in integrative medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), will break down what CAM is, how it can be used during TNBC treatment, and the ways it can help with treatment side effects. We hope you'll join us to talk about CAM!

March 15: Managing Misconceptions and Misplaced Expectations about a Cancer Diagnosis

There are many misconceptions of the realities of a cancer diagnosis. People often have certain expectations regarding how you are supposed to be while you are undergoing treatment and how you are supposed to feel post-treatment. Join us for an open and honest conversation about managing misconceptions and misplaced expectations.
