Let’s Talk About It: Black Women with Breast Cancer (Rest, Reflect, Recover: Self-Care in Black Breast Cancer Survivorship)

After breast cancer treatment, it’s time to take off the “Superwoman” cape and embrace self-care in a way that nurtures the mind, body, and soul. In this session, we’ll explore the long-term side effects of treatment, share tips on practicing Black JOY, and discuss how to create a more balanced, “soft” life that allows us to pour into ourselves. Learn how to cultivate your own TLC and the importance of having an accountability partner to support your self-care journey. Let’s redefine strength, not by enduring pressure but by embracing rest and healing.

If you’re a Black woman breast cancer survivor, join us on Thursday, February 27th at 7:00pm EST. The facilitators are Lisa P. Nelson, LMSW, OSW-C, and Megan-Claire Chase, invasive lobular (ILC) breast cancer survivor and SHARE’s Breast Cancer Program Director. You’ll get the opportunity to share your stories and experiences with fellow survivors and learn new ways to cope with the challenges of breast cancer.

This space is tailor-made for Black women breast cancer survivors who want to connect with others and gain insights from their journeys towards healing. Don’t miss out on this chance to join a supportive community of survivors.
