Women in prolonged cancer treatment agonize when treatment regimens fail them. When remission remains elusive for years, we may understandably become disheartened and exhausted from balancing the side effects of treatment with living a life we recognize as enjoyable and worthwhile. Those who love us may hold sway, but the decision is ours.
