Managing Lingering Side Effects After Breast Cancer: What’s Normal & When to Get Help

Join us Monday, July 28th at 3pm ET for an insightful and supportive conversation with Emily Beard, RN, OCN, CBCN, an experienced oncology nurse, patient navigator, and subject matter expert in breast cancer survivorship and quality care. As the Program Coordinator for Northside Hospital’s Breast and Gynecologic Oncology services, Emily brings a deep knowledge and a compassionate approach to guiding patients through post-treatment recovery, with a focus on health equity and improving the patient experience.

This session will explore common lingering side effects that can persist long after active treatment ends, including fatigue, chemo brain, neuropathy, joint pain, and lymphedema. You will gain a better understanding of why these side effects occur, how long they may last, and when to seek medical advice or additional support.

Whether you’re newly into survivorship or have been managing side effects for some time, this program can provide you with knowledge, resources, and reassurance that you’re not alone—and that help is available.
