Breast Cancer

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) is a national campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer and its impact on communities across the country. There are many ways you can help support breast cancer awareness this month:

  • Contact our Pink and Teal program to arrange an inspiring and educational breast & ovarian cancer seminar in your workplace
  • Start a fundraiser to support SHARE's work to help women affected by cancer feel less alone
  • Share information about clinical trials with your social network by following and reposting #ClinicalTrialsTuesday on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram
  • Volunteer to perform outreach in a medically underserved community
  • Educate yourself about breast cancer research advances and treatments
  • Learn what not to say to someone with cancer
  • Tell your story about being diagnosed with breast cancer
  • SHARE is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Our IRS identification number is 13-3131914. We are a 2018 Charity Navigator 4-star charity.

Read about the signs and symptoms of breast cancer; browse videos from therapists, researchers, oncologists, and other experts; read breast cancer stories; or connect to a breast cancer support group.

Whether you've been newly diagnosed with breast cancer, are in treatment, are a long-term survivor, or are concerned about your breast cancer risk, we have support and information for you.
