Certain chemicals, such as phthalates and parabens, can disrupt the body's hormones and have significant effects on health. McDonald, PhD, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at Columbia University in New York City, will discuss the scientific reasons why Black women should pay attention to specific chemicals in their personal care products, like hair care, and ways to minimize their exposure.
