Enhancing Flexibility and Strength Through Movement
There are many health benefits to exercising and being active, especially for those who are navigating a cancer diagnosis. Join the Queens Support Group on Thursday, October 13th as Moving for Life takes us through a workshop dedicated to specific movements for people who have gone through breast cancer. Half of the class will be dedicated to general breast cancer movements and the other half of the class will be dedicated to Lymphedema exercises.
Moving for Life is dedicated to helping people affected by cancer through their fitness classes. Their methods are supported by research that confirms engagement in therapeutic dance improves quality of life, speeds up recovery time, enhances survivorship, and reduces the chance of recurrence.
This program will take place during the Queens Support Group.
