We use personal and beauty products every day, but do we really know what is in these products? Dr. Jasmine McDonald, Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, will discuss what is considered a toxic ingredient and why, what types of ingredients to lookout for, and the importance of knowing what is in your personal care products. Dr. McDonald will also delve into the racial injustice that exists, the unequal chemical burdens among women of color, and how we can move toward clean and equitable beauty. This information will be relevant to those with and without a cancer diagnosis.
