A Second Helping of Life, SHARE Cancer Support’s 2024 Gala, is shaping up to be an extraordinary event! It will be held on Monday evening, September 23rd from 6:00 to 9:30pm at Tribeca Rooftop, with stunning views across New York City and the Hudson River. A short on-stage presentation will bring the SHARE Experience to Life and honor three amazing award participants.
SHARE Cancer Support’s own Art Thompson, who has served on our Board for seventeen years and tirelessly spearheaded fundraising for our Pink & Teal education initiative, among other important projects will be presented with the Anne Grant Advocacy Leadership Award. Dr. Ashley Tsang MD, Assistant Professor of Surgery, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, who has provided important information and support for those SHARE serves will receive the Eugene Thiessen Healthcare Leader and Innovation Award, and we will express our appreciation for GSK with this year’s Corporate Champion Award, for their years of meaningful support for numerous initiatives including SHARE’s ovarian cancer novela, animated novela, and public service announcements.
Nicholas Lowry, President, and Principal Auctioneer at Swann Auction Galleries and known nationwide from his PBS Antiques Roadshow appearances, will be on hand to lead our paddle raise…
And let’s not forget the food! Sumptuous, laden food carts will highlight a wide range of cultural specialties representing SHARE’s broad cultural heritage! From seared shrimp with saffron aioli, Mediterranean charcuterie, and Peking Duck, to mini root beer floats and churros dripping with chocolate sauce, there will be many options to please everyone!
