Let’s Talk About It: Uterine Cancer Register Here
Women with uterine cancer can join via video or phone to talk about topics such as “Changes in Relationships After Cancer” (April 5) and "Sex and Intimacy" (June 7).
The group is facilitated by a trained social worker and is designed to help ground and inform women in their cancer journeys. The group is a hybrid between an educational webinar, where a healthcare professional will speak on one topic, and the intimacy of a support group where personal stories can be shared and are a big part of the conversation.
April 5: Changes in Relationships After Cancer
A cancer diagnosis doesn’t only affect the person diagnosed, but also the partners, families and friends. Join us on April 5th as we talk about changes in relationships that can affect intimacy, family dynamics, and communication. Gaining a better understanding of how our loved ones feel can give us new insights and help us in navigating our cancer journey.
Guest Facilitator: Julie Larson, LCSW
June 7: Sex and Intimacy
Let’s talk about sex! Although sex after uterine cancer can be complicated, there are tips and tools that can help. It is important to know that there is no right or wrong way to feel about sex and intimacy after receiving a diagnosis. We will share information regarding sexual changes that occur during and after treatment, and share techniques to improve sex after cancer.
