I could not be more pleased to let you know that Andrea Herzberg, who has been tirelessly overseeing SHARE's ovarian cancer Helpline for nine years and facilitating two long-standing ovarian cancer support groups each month, has been honored with CURE®’s Ovarian Cancer Heroes Award.
Andrea, a 24 year ovarian cancer survivor, embodies the kind of passion and dedication that make me so proud of who we are at SHARE and what we provide for the women we serve. Her straight-talking wisdom and endless compassion provide a foundation for our entire community.
Andrea's many hours of phone logs for the Helpline provide a sense of her extensive knowledge about ovarian cancer and her ability to empower others. She not only manages our ovarian cancer Helpline team, but has personally helped women on over 4,500 calls! I know I speak for all of us when I express my gratitude of her many years of day-in, day-out hard work.
