Following a new diagnosis of breast cancer, older women often have worse outcomes when it comes to their breast cancers and receive less than standard therapy than younger women. Please join Dr. Rachel Freedman, a medical oncologist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute who specializes in breast cancer and aging, Medical Director at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, as she addresses underrepresentation in research that sets the stand for older cancer patients. She will also address the challenges in treating, best local therapy, and personalizing breast cancer care for older patients.
